Privacy policy

Last updated:

This page explains what happens to your information when you visit kervanlabs.dev or contact us through it. It covers this website only. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy, linked from its Google Play listing.

Who we are

Kervan Labs is an independent software studio, and we’re responsible for the personal data handled on this website. If you have a question about this policy or your data, email info@kervanlabs.dev.

When you contact us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you picked and your message. We use them only to reply to you and to talk about the work you’re asking about. We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t sell or share your details. The form doesn’t keep your message on the website: it sends it to our mailbox as an email. We delete the conversation once we no longer need it.

To stop spam, the form remembers a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for one hour, so it can limit how many messages come from one connection. It isn’t used for anything else.

Server logs

Like any website, ours runs on a server that records basic details about each request: IP address, date and time, the page asked for and the browser used. Our hosting provider, Namecheap, keeps these logs for a limited time to run the service and keep it secure. We don’t use them to identify visitors.

Fonts

Our pages use the IBM Plex typefaces, which your browser loads from Google Fonts. When it does, Google receives your IP address. Google explains how it handles this in its privacy policy.

Preferences saved in your browser

If you switch the theme or the language, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device. This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

Where your data is kept

Our website and mailbox are hosted by Namecheap on servers in the United States, so messages you send us are stored there.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@kervanlabs.dev and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you think we’ve mishandled your data, you can also complain to a data protection authority: in Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK); in the EU, the authority in your country.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
